Our home is something that we all cherish more than almost everything else in our lives. This is a place to live in. and besides giving us shelter from all physical calamities it also gives much more. Unfortunately when you have a home you also have a whole other arena of tax issues to deal with. Taxes are scary and you may have felt as if the whole roof has fallen down upon your head. If this sounds familiar then you need to take a deep breathe, there are all kinds of great tax deductions that you can take to the bank! In fact your home can be a pretty spectacular tax shelter all on its own.
For example, you can deduct some of the interest on your Home Equity Loan or your Line of Credit. Unfortunately, the IRS has placed a limit on the amount that you are able to deduct.
And that is not all; a Home Improvement Loan is the best way to deduct your interest from your taxes. Although, there is no dollar limit on this deduction, the loan must be taken on ‘capital improvement’ rather than ordinary repairing services. These ‘capital improvements’ can include things like new fencing, a new drive-way, new additions, swimming pools, a garage or even a new roof and these are just a few of the many things that you can get.
Everyone’s home can use a little improvement and it is easy to find out just what kinds of tax deductions you can use for this kind of purpose. There are even some books that you can get to help you find out what you are eligible for as well as many different computer programs. The key to successful tax deductions is to have the knowledge on your side.

There are welding defects that are sometimes overlooked or not considered. Each welding project requires careful considerations. They include:
The process, the type of welding i.e. stick, MIG, TIG.
The composition of the base metal and thickness.
The welding position, i. e. flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead.
The weld joint and type.
Electrical supply and equipment.
And finally, the welding techniques to be used.
To minimize the chance of welding defects be sure to consider 1) the travel speed of the pass; 2) the size and type electrode; 3) machine settings; 4) make sure the welding is done in accordance with the plan and the current conditions.
Most of, or a great deal of, welding defects can be identified by the “naked eye.” By knowing what is likely to produce welding defects you will learn how to avoid them. Production without defects saves time, materials, repair costs, and a decrease in productivity.
The two following causes for weld rejection should not be but are often overlooked 1) is the weldor proficient with the process being used? 2) is the welding rod supply up to standards? Use only properly stored, dried, and maintained welding rods.
Welding defects include poor penetration. It’s the failure of the welding rod and base metal to fuse together. It’s caused by a root face that is too big; a root opening that is too small; an electrode that’s too large; slow travel speed or a machine setting that’s too low.
Poor fusion is the failure to blend the layers of weld metal together with the base metal. A lack of fusion is caused by ” . . . failure to raise to the melting point of the base metal or the deposited weld metal,” (Miller Electric Mfg. Co.) It’s caused by improper fluxing; dirty plate surfaces; improper electrode size or type; wrong current settings. Electrodes that do not meet the storing, drying and maintenance specifications also cause it.
Undercutting is another problem that causes welding defects. It burns away the base metal at the toe of the weld. It’s caused by a current adjustment that is too high; an arc gap that is too long or failure to fill up the crater completely with weld metal.
Porosity looks “sponge like,” or like tiny “bubbles” in the weld. It’s caused by gases being released by the cooling weld because a current setting is too high or arc is too long.
Slag inclusion occurs when the slag is not chipped and cleaned properly and then another pass is made over the top. To avoid, 1) prepare the groove and weld properly before each pass; 2) thoroughly clean in between passes; check the machine settings against those suggested by the manufacturer; 3) hold a smaller weld puddle.

If you aren’t from New Jersey, or you have spent little time in the Garden State, you may not be too familiar with some of the peculiarly named towns located around the state. Indeed, with 566 incorporated communities, New Jersey has no lack of uncommon named locales including, Hoboken, Hackensack, Teaneck, Wanaque, Ho-Ho-Kus, and others. Located in Bergen County, in northeast New Jersey, Ho-Ho-Kus is one such town with an unusual name. Let’s take a look at the history of this little community.
With 70 communities, Bergen County is New Jersey’s most populated county with just under one million residents. The county is located just west of New York City and the towns which comprise the county are what many call “bedroom communities” for the city workers who make the daily commute to Manhattan. Indeed, located just 17 miles west of New York is the town of Ho-Ho-Kus, where a large portion of the people who have settled in the town make the daily trek to the city via train, bus, or passenger car. With just over 4000 people living within its approximately one square mile radius, Ho-Ho-Kus has a history that can be traced back to 1698 when European settlers deeded land in what is now Ho-Ho-Kus.
The name Ho-Ho-Kus is a fairly big mystery as well. Town residents take pride in the unusual name and are adamant that commonly used ways of writing the name of the town not be used, including HoHoKus or Hohokus. The Lenni Lenape were the original inhabitants of the area and some believe that a particular native term, Hochaos, is one of the closest words associated with the current spelling. The meaning of Hochaos is not certain as some think that it could be a native term for “running water” or to a Dutch term for high oaks, or it may simply be referring to another native term “hoccus” meaning gray fox. Indeed, there are at least six different explanations for the origins of “Ho-Ho-Kus”, but none are definitive.
Much of the current town saw its growth in the 20th century via the establishment of a railroad station. A walking tour of the business district reveals to visitors charming shops, restaurants, the train station, and a beautiful library. There are no lodging establishments within the town, but several can be found in neighboring Paramus.
The town has just one public school covering grades K-8, with high school students sent to Northern Highlands Regional in Allendale for their schooling. Three churches are located within the town and Ho-Ho-Kus is free of all industry.
A national historic landmark, The Hermitage, is located within the borough and it is well noted for having been visited by General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. The manse is a wonderful example of domestic Gothic Revival architecture.
Most of the residential area is located to the north, west, and south of the business district and the homes are recognized for their architectural beauty as well as being pristinely maintained. Indeed, per capita income for town residents reflects the overall wealth of Bergen County and the residences keenly reflect this fact.

The New England Patriots continue to lose players on defense, most recently safety Rodney Harrison yesterday versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. But, true to form, kicker Adam Vinateri makes thye big kick (again) with the game on the line. Yes indeed, despite losing key players and both coordinators, Bill Bellichick still puts the pieces together and the Champs keep on going.
Speaking of injuries to Super Bowl teams, the Philadelphia Eagles have a hobblign kicker in David Akers and it looks like quarterback Donovon McNabb is going to have to play through injuries for the rest of the season. Wasn’t it just about a month ago when Terrell Owens and his attitude was the big problem in Philly?? He’s still the key player, though.
The Dallas Cowboys survived the Monday night hangover after blowing a lead against the Redskins. They bounce back to pull a game out of the fire against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Unfortunately, them Boys have the same problem as Washington, an old QB who may not make it through the season. Both these teams have nice running backs, but if they lose Bledsoe (Dallas) or Brunell (Washington), their playoff hopes would be over in an instant.
Anyone ready to concede the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year to Tampa Bay Bucaneers running back Cadillac Wiliams yet? Maybe not his former teammate at Auburn, Ronnie Brown. We all know the impact Williams has had on the Tampa during their 3-0 start, but Brown also came up big on Sunday. He rushed for 132 yards to lead the Miami Dolphins over Carolina and to a 2-1 record. Ricky who??

Viewing your credit report online allows you to access it instantly from the convenience of your home. You’ll see your payment history, open accounts, recent credit inquires, and other credit information. With your report you can check for errors or fraud. Regardless if you are planning to apply for credit or not, annually checking your credit is a good practice.
Online Credit Reports
Online credit reports can be checked in minutes through either the reporting agencies’ sites or through a third party. Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion will provide you with a copy after you have submitted your personal information and answered an obscure question from your past, like a parent’s name or former address.
Third party credit monitoring companies also offer free credit reports as part of their trial offers. With many of these companies you will also receive your FICO score and tips for improving your score. You can cancel the service after you receive your report and not have to pay any fees.
Review Your Credit History
With your credit report in hand, review the information to determine if there are any mistakes. Check for any reporting errors with your payment history, such as late payments. If you do find a mistake, mail a letter explaining the situation both to the reporting agency and creditor. The reporting agency is obligated to investigate any errors.
Also, look at your open accounts. Do you recognize them? If not, make sure they are in your name and not being used by someone else. Another sign of identity theft is numerous credit inquires from companies you don’t recognize.
This is also a good time to think about improving your credit score. Close unused accounts and spread credit card debt amongst a couple of accounts. You can also attach a letter to your report explaining any bankruptcies or foreclosures.
When To Check Your Report
Annually checking your report is a good practice to prevent damage from identify theft or credit mistakes. Review your report before making major life decisions which will require a credit check, such as buying a home or life insurance, or applying for certain jobs.

team or keep it all to yourself, a Dream Catcher membership
redefines getting the most for your money.

Hiring the right photographer is an essential task in planning
your wedding. You need to make sure that you choose an
experienced photographer. It is not crucial that the
photographer is an experienced wedding photographer. An
experienced photographer, not specializing in weddings, may be
much less expensive than a wedding photographer specialist.
The pictures in your wedding album should contain some of your
most important memories. A photographer should have the ability
to artfully capture the most special moments of your wedding
celebration. It is these unexpected and emotional moments that
will help create a wonderful wedding album. Your wedding album
is one piece of memorabilia you want to feel proud of when you
show it to family and friends. Your photographs should tell the
story of your wedding day. Only a good photographer can fill
your wedding album with unforgettable pictures. One important
aspect of hiring a photographer is personal style and
preference. You should view photographs in the photographer’s
portfolio to make sure the style is in line with your desires.
It is possible that you and the photographer have incompatible
tastes and opinion on what your wedding album should look like.
Remember, that photography is art and it is highly subjective.
For this reason, it is crucial you find a professional who
you’ll feel comfortable with, and whose work stands out from any
other photographer you’ll be meeting with.
Don’t hire the first photographer you meet. Even if he is highly
recommended make sure you evaluate several photographers. Don’t
take anyone’s word for it, check the photographer’s portfolio.
Compare quality and price of each candidates. Most of the time
your reception site will have a few preferred photographer’s to
choose from, but it should not stop you from doing your own
research.
Get everything in writing, and look for guarantees. Many
photographers offer their wedding albums with lifetime
guarantee.
