There are few hands that ace-king has a huge advantage against. The poker hands you would most likely want to be up against would be ace-queen or ace-jack for instance. But against smaller pairs ace-king is a slight underdog and against two other correlating cards ace king is only a small favorite to win the hand.

These facts become important in a multi-way all-in pot. If there are multiple raises in front of you, with more than one player going all-in, it is likely that your ace-king is not the best hand. At least one player probably has a pair and others might be holding aces or kings giving you less outs if you are behind in the hand to start off with. If you have enough poker chips to continue to play after the hand, simply fold your ace-king and wait for a better situation.
