“I’ll be playing some shows and, truly, I am just working on developing my live show. It’s all I believe about. I have dreams and then nightmares about my live show. I need to make it so good, like the best show ever.” -Genre-bending pop star Ke$ha, debating her plans for her very own tour that can get moving later on in the year. She stopped by the MTV Newsroom last week just before her performance at Madison Square Garden as a part of Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth Tour. Though that trek is nearly over, Ke$ha guarantees to keep busy.
“I am finishing up this tour and going in to start to write again some more music for you men and will continue touring throughout the remainder of the year,” she told MTV Stories ‘ Christina Garibaldi. “I am not sure who is going to go on tour with me yet, but I suspect I should be going on my tour later on perhaps.” Though nothing is immovably set currently, she is hoping to bring some in a similar way otherwordly luminaries with her on the road.
“Crazy Punk cause they are bad ass!” she said about her dream opening act. “That is just who popped right into my mind initially.” as well as new music and a likely tour, Ke$ha wants to bring her unique sense of style into the fashion industry through a line of her very own design. “[My line] will be coming and there’ll be capes concerned. I’m trying truly tough to bring back capes. They have been out since the 1800s, it’s about time they came back,” she revealed.
“I am doing [design my private pieces] and I’m employed with individuals that help me. For example, they designed this hat. We find roadkill and put it on my attire and recycled feathers. I mean we wash it. It is roadkill. I suspect it is important not to kill animals. I also think it is a respect to the animal if it is already dead and sitting on the side of a road. I would as well wear it on MTV.”

If you love the books of J.R.R. Tolkien you may want to visit his Middle-earth yourself some day. So far watching Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” movies are about as close as people can come to really going to Middle-earth, but if you have an ear for music you may want to check out the Elvish music of Rehtaeh, also known as Heather Downing. Downing has released three albums since 2005 featuring her enchanting interpretations of elvish song-weaving.
A recent guest on the popular Internet show Middle-earth Talk Radio, Rehtaeh will be the featured artist at the 2010 Tolkien Moot, a small conference held in Spokane, WA each year in August. According to Downing when she appeared on Episode 28 of Middle-earth Talk Radio, she will be premiering a new song at this year’s Tolkien Moot. Rehtaeh’s performances will be streamed live to the Internet.
Tolkien Moot is organized by Hawke Robinson, who also founded a smial (a chapter of the worldwide Tolkien Society) in Spokane. Although most of the moot is devoted to role-playing gaming set in Tolkiem’s Middle-earth, the conference has drawn appearances from some of the leading Tolkien scholars in the past, including Chris Seeman, John Rateliff, Thomas Morwinsky, and Michael Martinez. Martinez, who has published three books on Middle-earth, cohosts Middle-earth Talk Radio with Robison.
Middle-earth Talk Radio features casual discussion of recent Tolkien-related news, occasional readings from Tolkien books, and analysis of Tolkien’s mythologies and literature. The cohosts also talk about other authors and topics related to science fiction and fantasy. The shows are usually enhanced with selections of music inspired by Tolkien’s world. Middle-earth Talk Radio in fact grew out of the Middle-earthradio.com Website Robinson found, which plays more than 1,000 songs inspired by Tolkien and Middle-earth.

All times are in the Pacific Time Zone. Fans will be able to join a chat room for the live Internet broadcasts, including Rehtaeh’s three performances.
Tolkien Moot will be held at 1506 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA, in the facilities of East/West Fitness World LLC.

THE Saturdays will be adding glint to the summer concert season at Thetford Forest the week after next.
Fresh from the releasing of their new single Missing You, the glamorous girl band play High Lodge on Fri., July nine. Mollie, Rochelle, Frankie, Vanessa and Una have gone from strength to strength since the releasing of their last album, 2009’s Wordshaker.
They have did a tour of the UK, scored a succession of hit singles and are presently headlining the holiday circuit. The last single Ego has now sold over 250K copies and spent over 3 months in the top forty. The new mini album Reports , released Aug sixteen will be an eight-track collection and features Missing You, the prior singles Ego and Forever Is Over. Support comes from The Wanted who are directly to release debut single All Time Low and look set to be one of the most stimulating new pop feelings of 2010,
In another story, The Saturdays ‘ Una Caught Topless!. The Saturdays frontman Una Healy has been pictured recreating the classic lift scene from Unclean Dancing - topless. The 28-year old frontman stripped down to her bikini bottoms while holidaying with her rugby player beau Ben Foden in Ibiza where the couple seemed to hark back to the classic scene from the Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray flick. Hunky Ben was pictured lifting the Ego frontman above his head in the water, seeming to recreate the famous lift sequence where Swayze’s personality practices their dance routine with Baby, played by Gray. The couple were snapped enjoying their first vacation together after Una took a break away from her Saturdays bandmates and their busy schedule to jet off to Ibiza. Nonetheless Healy returned from the vacation with her attire on for this weekends T4 on the beach gig where the girls performed their brand spanking new single, Missing You - due for release this month.

Lady Gaga covers the new Rolling Stone, and the provocative cover photograph features the “Bad Love ” frontman wearing nothing aside from thong undies and a bra fashioned from 2 machine guns. (Percentages are you will not confuse it with Good Housekeeping. ) Within , Gaga debates her fears ( “When I wake up in the morning, I feel rather like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘ ( cuss word removed ), you are Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today’8194;” ) and modeling herself after Michael Jackson ( “If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were hollering outside the surgery, waiting for me to come out, I’d come out as Gaga. Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, as he was in the art of show business” ).
The issue hits stores Wed. . In a different story, A Multimillionaire paid Lady Gaga $1 million for a fleeting bit part in her new video.
The mega-wealthy Russian entrepreneur — identified only as Arkady by Moscow’s Life.ru news internet site — appears wearing an SS-style leather coat and cap in the scene in Alejandro, Lady Gaga’s new single. “Yes, it was me in the clip but I can not give further details, ” he announced.
In the scene Arkady is seen staring moodily at Lady Gaga before hurling off his cap and moving nearer to her. The Russian was described by the internet site as Lady Gaga’s “largest fan”.

Tonight’s Glee was surely one of my fave hours of the whole season. I had not got any idea that it might be so emotionalor that I’d be so emotional!
Seriously, what number of you Gleeks shed major tears during Theatricality? But the episode also had one or two shiver-inducing performances and guffaws. I suspect that is the reason why it became so remarkable: it is doing what Glee does best which is mixing comedy, music, and emotional truths.
[SPOILER ALERT FOR WEST COAST VIEWERS]Bad Love was superb particularly the choreography and the vocals by Chris Colfer. But I’m convinced my favourite performance of the night would need to be Rachel (Lea Michele ) and Shelby ( Idina Menzel ) tackling Poker Face.
Sweet Gaga that was dazzling. I had chills and my eyes welled up. That song and scene were so stuffed with discomfort and joy. Loved it.
The best plotline of the evening though was unquestionably the link between Kurt ( Colfer ) and Finn ( Cory Monteith ). I don’t believe I have seen a show on TV tackle a gay / straight relationship so smoothly and truthfully.
And if Mike O’Malley doesn’t win an Emmy for playing Burt Hummel, I’m going to be sorely disillusioned. That scene between the three of them ranks as one of Glee’s best moments ever.

The first thing you need to recognize is where to put the speakers. Whether you have five, six or seven speakers, one of them is almost definitely the “center channel” and it should go either directly above or directly below the television. This is not irrational, if your television is higher than eye level, put the center channel speaker immediately below it. If the television is a bit low or on the floor then the center channel speaker should definately go above it.
The idea is to have the television in a position where viewers won’t have to strain their necks, and have the speaker in a position where it appears (to the viewer) that the sound is coming straight from the television itself. You want to give the illusion that when you see someone speaking, the sound is coming from their mouth and not some little black box elsewhere in the room.
Next, the front-left and front-right speakers. They should stay about one-third of the way from the television to the nearest wall, and equally distant on the other side. If your wall is abnormally near or distant then as a guideline the speakers should be between two and five feet away from the edge of the television for most rooms. They should also be raised to ear level, if at all possible on speaker stands or mounted to the wall or ceiling. For all speakers, including the center channel, if ear level is not an option then angling the speakers towards ear-level in the central seat of your sofa or corner seat is the next best option.
If you have a total of five speakers, then the final two can go (at ear level) immediately to the side the viewers (2 to 5 feet away) or slightly behind or ahead of the viewers and angled towards them. If six speakers, the final speak goes directly behind (or possibly above and behind) the central seat in your theater. If seven speakers, alter that last instruction just a bit: Instead of mirroring the center channel you will mirror the front-left and front-right speakers a bit, and your “surround” speakers (speakers 4 and 5) can go a bit more forward.
The rest is simple too: Each speaker has a positive and negative wire, definitely make sure you don’t cross them at the speaker or when connecting them to the amplifier. If you have problems concealing the wires you can buy a plastic molding which goes around your baseboard or wherever and will both hide the wires and keep them out of the way.

Staging for live wedding music is just one of about a millionjobs facing couples and wedding planners. Between flowers, photos, venues, dresses, parties, rings, video, and more, even a tiny and quiet wedding requires a great amount of designing. It can be a nerve-wracking time because if even one of these areas falls through the cracks, your big day can end up being a big letdown.
Here are five tips to engaging live wedding instrumentalists for your service and reception:
1. Make sure you rent a band with a proven track record of professionalism. Does the manager return your phone calls promptly? Does the band have a web site? Business cards? Other promotional materials? Or do you get the impression you’re talking to a guy practicing in his garage with his buddies? The way the band introduces itself as you begin talking with them is a genuine indicator of how they’ll show up (or not!) on your big day.
2. Punctuality is essential. When you set an appointment to connect personally or on the phone, it’s like a mini-contract. If the band director is late to meet with you, it’s a discouraging sign that they don’t take their agreements earnestly. If they can’t come through on time in the preparation stage, what other arrangements will they break with you on your wedding day? This extends on to you, too - being timely is just one way you can live a life that displays that you abide by your commitments.
3. Make sure the dance band is easy-going rather than being a bunch of divas. By now you’ve probably heard a hundred Bridezilla stories, even if you’re not demanding or extreme. Imagine employing the equivalent in craziness for your wedding band. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to have to wait on your musicians hand and foot, fetching them food and beverage, having the thermostat changed for them, or tending to other exacting wants. The greatest band for you is one that can take care of itself, one that’s easy to get along with, and one that does all it can to make sure your day is sweet and fun for you.
4. Charter a wedding band that’s fun. Getting married is one of the heaviest choices you’ll ever make. It’s important business. The music on your wedding day should be glorious and fun. You don’t want to see your guests oblivious, groggy, and wishing the day was finished. You want them up, dancing, singing, and grinning. If you choose a live wedding music band well, your choice will do a great deal to make your wedding day memorable in a good way. This is the big day you’ve been waiting for, and music is such a essential part of it. Make sure you employ a musician that makes the day idyllic - enjoyable for you and your invitees.

Lily Allen has said that she will quit drinking before gigs to avoid any unpleasant scenes. The singer has also said that she hopes her fans won’t drink heavily while at the gig watching her. Lily is no stranger to controversy but she hopes that her new lifestyle will keep out of the headlines and out of trouble for the foreseeable future. Allen has recently purchased a country mansion and now faces a backlash from local residents who are angered that the inflated prices of houses in the Cotswalds thanks to celebrities like Lily Allen mean that local people can no longer afford to live in the area.
Allen has also bought an apartment in London that she can use whenever she has promotional work to complete. She recently claimed she was going to give up making music for a while. She was heavily criticised by music fans and leading industry figures for suggesting that illegal downloads were harming the careers of musicians and singers.
The singer was also attacked by pop star Cheryl Cole over her comments about Cole’s Girl Aloud band mate. The latest Lily album was very successful in the UK and she is still popular with a large number of people.

Cheryl Cole has transformed into a Lady GaGa look-alike in her new video for 3 Words, which features Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am.
In the video Cheryl Cole wears a striking blonde wig and lace veil, reminiscent of GaGa’s trademark look.
The news comes after Aussie singing sensation and Britain’s X-Factor judge, Danii Minogue has stated that she and fellow colleague Cheryl Cole are not close and that their relationship is strictly professional. According to the British Daily Mail, Minogue, 38, does not consider Cole, 26, as a friend at all. The two popstars have reportedly been outdressing each other right from the start of the X-Factor talent programme, in order to be crowned most fashionable.
Cole has previously been blasted by the media for promoting a shampoo which is said to ‘revive her limp hair’, even though in reality, she applies a massive amount of hair extensions to add volume. When Cole was announced as the next X-Factor judge replacing Sharon Osbourne, the British media predicted that Cole and Minogue will not be getting along. There were reports that the youngest of the Minogues felt threatened by the glamorous Cole’s presence but they both denied the speculations.
The former ‘Skyways’ Melbourne-born actress was publicly criticized by colleague Louis Walsh for allegedly stealing a melody for her mentee on X-Factor, Rachel Hylton. The song was initially meant for Walsh’s own performing act. Minogue burst into tears during the live broadcast and could not properly begin the show.

Following the lead of the UK proposing to tackle the problem of illegal download by adopting stringent measures, France has also decided to implement disconnection from the broadband network as punishment for habitual net piracy offenders.
The recent legislation passed by the French National Assembly implies that if pirates are found to be persistently violating cyber laws, their internet connection will be terminated completely. This legislation, in its first draft, was not passed for being unconstitutional, though the second draft of the same was later passed with a simple majority of 285 against 225 votes.
In this system, first-time offenders will be sent an email by a new state agency dealing with internet piracy and will be warned about the possible consequences. If they fail to mend their ways, the agency will send a letter, and if the person persists, their broadband services will be discontinued permanently. This system resembles the one proposed by UK Business Secretary Lord Mandelson for implementation of piracy laws. Because the internet has become a basic need for most of us, and with the advent of networks offering broadband deals, it can be accessed whenever and wherever a person wants, this makes the thought of people not being allowed access extraordinary.
Irrespective of the controversies surrounding the decision, if the European Parliament steps into the picture and decides that such disconnection would be a violation of human rights of the offender, then both UK and France will have to abandon their plans.
